INTRODUCING: LISE BRICKWELL HOFFMAN!
To have someone who is exceptional in design for theatre, costumes, gowns, etc. living in Western North Carolina is a dream to those who know our talented friend, Lise Hoffman. Not only is she into cloth, she is a famous artist and glass designer and famous for her cut glass designs of "whales, moose, fish, bear and more!"
Recently she created a costume made from "discarded trash" that should be in a museum of art somewhere in the United States.
Lise Brickwell Hoffman is Waynesville's winning designer for the ACT Fashion Show for her costume in the category "BEST CONCEPT OR STORY!" How proud we are for her accomplishments and her collaboration with Leslie Lang, the exquisite model from Asheville.
Lise called her creation "ADENA" which means "BIG FIRE!"
This dragon costume with that wonderful smoking headdress was one of the "showstopper moments" of the evening.
The production for the ACT event was well done and the quality certainly kept all of us glued to the television. This was an Asheville Community Theatre fundraiser!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Lise, your talents in jewelry, glass and costume design makes you a leading artist for our great mountain region!
(Last year she was costume designer for the HART THEATRE production of "STARDUST!" and was one of the featured performers!)
