CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS IN DUBLIN, IRELAND!”
By Glenn Arnette and Stephen A. Gonya
As invited Journalists by the Tourism Board of Ireland and Failte Ireland, we were flown to Ireland to experience the “Winter Wonderland of Dublin!”
With an easy flight to Boston from Charlotte, NC and then on Aer Lingus Airlines non-stop to Dublin, we arrived and from that moment on every minute was breathtaking, packed with beauty, friendly people and exceptional weather!
There is something about the Irish people that draws you into their exciting lifestyle. They enjoy life! We found smiles and a few Guinness beers along the way, a welcome by the Irish and more Guinness to top it off!
Then the lights of Christmas became the “stars of the night” as we were escorted throughout the City and its “vision of Christmas.”
Now, I am not talking about just a few lights, but trees, restaurants, lobbies and homes decked out to the fullest with the Mayor of Dublin’s home offering the new color of Christmas as “pink!”
Blended together with the white lights of candles, colored lights and more including the pink, Christmas was alive and extremely exciting in Dublin.
This should be your next addition to your travel list. Even next year and the years after, this will be one of the most beautiful decorated Cities in Europe!
